Coastal Home Project 3

Although the coastal bluff property and timeworn cabin had been in the family for many years, it had became less inviting and somewhat neglected over the years. In response, the family decided to create a truly generational home overlooking the sea.

Now dubbed “The Casa”, this home will stand strong for many more generations with its stone tower, hard trowel stucco walls, and clay tile roof. Interior details project timelessness: Jerusalem stone floors, custom wrought iron stair rails, granite slab showers, and mahogany paneling.

And on the lower level, a hidden surprise: impressive arched redwood doors open up to a magnificent wine cellar with a barrel vaulted stone ceiling.

All of the original redwood framing was reclaimed from the family cabin and is now a visible and memorable part of The Casa — the redwood doors, gates, and beams are a dedication to the family's long history on this extraordinary property.
